Location: Mining (NSW) - Boggabri


Due to a recent project award, we are now seeking to appoint an onsite Senior Project Manager for a Coal Mine located in the Gunnedah Basin. This position is responsible for the safe and cost effective management, organisation and supervision of all mining activities. This is an opportunity for you to utilise your extensive experience and knowledge, to positively contribute to BGC Contracting delivering successfully on a significant coal mining project.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Mine site safety, inspections & reporting in line with NSW Mining legislation;
  • Ensuring inductions, training & sub-contractor engagement complies with established processes;
  • Managing manning levels & maintenance schedules to maximise delivery;
  • Foster client relationships, strengthen stakeholder engagement & maintain effective communications;
  • Provide mine site leadership including mentoring direct reports & driving mine site performance standards;
  • Set short, medium & long term plans to increase commercial return.

To be successful you will require the following:

  • A degree in Mining/ Mining Engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar onsite position;
  • Willing to relocate to within commute of the mine site;
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully managing large mining services projects;
  • Hold a valid Australian Drivers' Licence;
  • Possess a Certificate of Competence Mines NSW.
