Description

OHP Supervisor

Working a 2 & 1 roster you will report directly to the OHP Superintendent and be responsible for all supervision requirements at the Mt Webber Ore Handling Plant.

It is desirable that applicants have a sound understanding of production and maintenance planning principles and have demonstrated a strong commitment to safety to ensure that all work is carried out safely, and a reasonable understanding of Mines Department and Work Safe practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • To actively & passively supervise and co-ordinate maintenance personal  during activities

  • Assist with all engineering, technical improvement activities, or any other issues affecting optimum plant KPI compliance.

  • Adhere to the overall cost targets set by the OHP Supervisor.

  • Comply with using the JDE Maintenance System as required to manage and report on all plant activities.

  • Organise training for all OHP personnel as per an agreed training matrix set by the OHP Supervisor.

  • Comply with BGC Contracting’s Business Management Systems as amended from time to time.

  • Any other duties as directed by your immediate Manager.

  • Exhaustively manage all OHP site personnel matters “in house” through the relevant line reporting structure prior to seeking external assistance. Adopt the “one stop shop” approach.

  • Co-ordinate periodic shutdowns.

  • Maximise highest possible level of plant availability by ensuring all scheduled mechanical maintenance is carried out on time.

  • Monitor any reductions in plant availability due to mechanical failure.

  • Utilise Root Cause Analysis methods to determine cause of faults and failures to prevent further recurrences.

  • Assist the Maintenance Planner with shutdown planning and execution.

  • Provide daily reports on activities completed and in progress.

  • Assist the Maintenance Planner in recording all equipment history by providing meaningful information on completed work orders.

  • Actively participate in defining and executing continuous improvement projects.
