Location: Mining (SA) Iron Knob Operations (Whyalla)

Description

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, the Production Engineer will be responsible for providing high level technical support in relation to the planning of safe and efficient mining operations, and the coordination of all daily and weekly production activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and scheduling daily load & haul and drill & blast activities

  • Coordinating all resources to meet the plan

  • Working closely with the site team and client to achieve production targets safely

  • Create and follow the Weekly Plan- based on the Client’s Quarterly Plan

  • Create designs for upload to Wenco Lite (on site GPS system)

  • Maintenance of Wenco Lite Production Manager Module- ensuring operators have the latest designs to work from.

  • All drill & blast designs; load plans; tie ins and blast clearance plans as well as vibration monitoring

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years experience in a production engineer/ scheduling engineer role or similar

  • Degree in Mining Engineering or similar

  • Past experience in Surpac Suite and RPM XAct Scheduling is beneficial

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office Suite

  • This position is residential from Whyalla, therefore no FIFO or camp accommodation is provided.
