Gopher Sport is currently seeking  Warehouse Team Members  responsible for exceeding Distribution benchmarks and quality expectations to ensure  ‘Best in Class’  service to our customers.  Starting wage is  $15.00/per hour.

Primary duties include :

  1. Achieve individual performance standards in picking in order to meet operating levels.
  2.  Achieve individual performance standards in replenishment and put-aways in order to meet operating levels.
  3.  Achieve individual performance standards in order to facilitate accurate and efficient returns for internal and external customers.
  4. Achieve individual performance standards in shipping and receiving in order to meet operating levels.
  5.  Work in a safe and controlled manner following all safety policies and procedures.

 

Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to work in a FAST-PACED, TEAM environment; be self-motivated; detail orientated; previous FORKLIFT experience preferred (or the ability to attain and maintain a Gopher Sport Powered Industrial Trucks License); perform basic math, reading and writing; and have a very strong/dependable attendance history.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible to meet or exceed Distribution benchmarks and quality expectations to insure achievement of Best in Class standards and world class service for all customers.  This position is also responsible for accurately and safely performing picking, receiving, replenishment, incoming put aways, cycle counting, and loading and unloading trailers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities listed below serve as a general outline.  Other duties may be assigned or required to support the success of Gopher Sport.

1.Achieve or exceed individual performance standards in picking in order to meet the operating levels even with daily staff fluctuations.  Meet performance standards documented in the Step Assessment.  (Metric: Lines picked per hour, picking accuracy).

a.Meet performance standards documented in the Step Assessment. 

b.Operate hand held radio (RF) gun for all transactions Lines picked per hour

c.Properly package all outgoing merchandise including customer survey and packing slip

d.Inspect diverted cartons for in accurate picks or defective product

e.Pack all over sized items and pre packs in the appropriate sized cartons

f.Build correct number of cartons and maintain required carton demand

g.Remove and recycle any consumed supplier cartons

h.Flex and support other zones to fulfill wave releases

i.Replenishment

j.Lines received and put away per hour

k.Supplier POs received per hour

l.Dock to stock times

m.Promote awareness of quality standards and help correct any quality issues included but not limited to product labeling and packaging.

n.Perform needed inventory counts and assist in maintaining detailed and organized records for the department.

o.Promote awareness of quality standards and help correct any quality issues included but not limited to product labeling and packaging.

2.Achieve or exceed individual performance standards in replenishment and put away in order to meet the operating levels even with daily staff fluctuations.  Meet performance standards documented in the Step Assessment.  (Metric: replenishment transactions, put away transactions).

a.Operate hand held radio (RF) gun for all transactions

b.Operate forklift

c. Properly place cartons in the correct locations with labels towards the pick face during put away or replenishment

d.Place partial cases on top of full cases during put away or replenishment

e.Follow directed put away 

f.Ensure correct quantity and part numbers

g.Properly place cartons in bulk storage

h.Promote awareness of quality standards and help correct any quality issues included but not limited to product labeling and packaging.

 

i.Promote awareness of quality standards and help correct any quality issues included but not limited to product labeling and packaging.

3.Achieve or exceed individual performance standards in order to facilitate accurate and efficient returns for internal and external customers. (Metric:  on time completion of returns) 

a.Promote awareness of quality standards and help correct any quality issues included but not limited to product labeling and packaging.

4.Achieve or exceed individual performance standards in the shipping and receiving docks in order to meet the operating levels even with daily staff fluctuations.  Meet performance standards documented in the Step Assessment.  (Metric:  receiving opportunity/error log) 

a.Maintain accurate inventory moves.

b.Promote awareness of quality standards and help correct any quality issues included but not limited to product labeling and packaging.

c.Ensure damaged freight is properly noted on freight bills prior to signing off on them.

5.Work in a safe and controlled manner following all safety policies and procedures including but not limited to ergonomics, work practices, forklifts, and general housekeeping (Metric:  5S audit).

a.Follow all documented safety procedures.

b.Safely and effectively operate forklifts including the sit down, standup reach, and stock picker.  Follow all safety checks for daily forklift operation.

c.Report any unsafe conditions and support the process to fix those situations.

d.Train new team members on safe work practices.

e.Maintain an organized, neat, and clean work area at all times.

f.Obtain and maintain in good standing a Gopher Sport Powered Industrial Trucks license.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1.18 years or older

2. High school diploma or equivalent

3.Previous experience utilizing a hand-held radio frequency gun helpful

This job is performed in a distribution environment.  The noise is generally moderate in the distribution center.  In the distribution center, the employee would generally be exposed to automated equipment with conveyors.  The distribution center is climate controlled.
