JOB SUMMARY:

Increase vendor and customer satisfaction and loyalty by providing timely, accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable functions. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES: The duties and responsibilities listed below serve as a general outline.  Other duties may be assigned or required to support the success of Gopher Sport.

  1. Process all vendor invoices timely and accurately and maintain up to day vendor account information to ensure a successful month end close.   
  1. Handle inquiries to and from vendors; research and resolve issues in a timely manner
  2. Manage vendor invoices, receiving and billing of direct customer orders
  3. Match stock and direct invoices to receiving documents, verify price and quantity
  4. Enter all non-PO corporate invoices
  5. Keep filing current, allowing for visual indication of workload status
  6. Maintain a clean, organized work area
  7. Assist in receiving drop-ship purchase orders
  1.  Process daily cash applications to ensure up-to-date customer account information                                 
    1. Process lockbox receipts, research unapplied and unidentified receipts
    2. Create batches in ERP for live checks
    3. Create and deposit live and prepaid checks
    4. Redeem gift certificates for payments
    5. Tie out credit card receipts to customer payment records
  2. Process weekly check run, including customer refund checks to meet vendor and customer expectations 
  3. Complete audit plan and document improvement opportunities within the Accounting department 
  4. Document workflow and procedures for training purposes
  5. Log individual work volume on a daily basis
  6. Review each other’s work for completeness and quality, remedy with fellow team members and supervisor

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1.Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred

2.Minimum 2-3 years success in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or other Accounting function

3.Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and Windows Operating System

This job is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to the distribution center.  The noise level in the office and distribution center is generally moderate.  In the distribution center, the team member would generally be exposed to automated equipment and conveyors.  Both the office and distribution center is climate controlled.
