Description

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will contribute to the increase in the portfolio of proprietary and exclusive products, by managing all development follow up for successful product launches.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES: The duties and responsibilities listed below serve as a general outline.  Other duties may be assigned or required to support the success of Gopher Sport.

1.  Execute all required product and project follow up after development and product approval (metric:  development process monthly audit results, on time NPF, on time delivery)

  1. Send all paper collateral requirements to vendor in appropriate stage for inclusion in shipment.  This includes the following collateral: assembly instructions, product instructions, care & usage instructions, packaging, activity ideas.
  2. Update and maintain collateral tracking grid to monitor collateral. 
  3. Request and manage New Product Forms for each catalog offer prior to catalog meeting dates or PO requirements.
  4. Receive packaging and work with Packaging Coordinator on packaging approval prior to shipment.
  5. Follow up on any purchase order inquiries.
  6. Work with vendor and procurement on any shipping/production issues related to timely delivery.
  7. Review new product upon arrival and resolve and follow up with any packaging, collateral or quality related issues.
  8. Run Product Development new product sales and metrics reports on a monthly basis as required.

2. Manage all sample requirements for Product Development Department per sample process  (metric: development process monthly audit results (milestones))

  1. Request and track all development and prototype samples as directed to ensure stagegate due dates are met.
  2. Request and track all final and photography samples to ensure receipt prior to catalog meeting and production week.
  3. Update and maintain sample tracking grid.
  4. Prepare and assemble all samples for review or photography.
  5. Maintain and organize sample shelves and final sample library.
  6. Order and prepare all internal sample requests.

3.  Resolve any quality issues and handle updates that arise on existing Only From Gopher and Gopher branded products (metric:  quality issue resolution success rate, PLM update completion rate))

  1. Determine what solution is needed to resolve quality issue by analyzing the root cause.
  2. Partner with supplier to make necessary improvements for resolution of quality issue.
  3. Work with Quality department as necessary on the issues and outcomes.
  4. Facilitate PLM process and handle all communication and follow up.
  5. Receive sample from supplier with required improvement or change for approval.
  6. Monitor next impacted shipment and follow up to ensure improvements were made in production.
  7. Create or update product specification sheets on existing Only From Gopher and Gopher branded products.

4.  Manage the Product Development Process Weekly Updates  (metric:  Development Process board monthly audit results)

  1. Update product stages on process boards weekly
  2. Complete process audit results each week
  3. Maintain vendor and internal trend with proper codes

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1.Bachelors degree from an accredited university/college

2.Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and Windows Operating System

This job is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to the distribution center.  The noise level in the office and distribution center is generally moderate.  In the distribution center, the team member would generally be exposed to automated equipment and conveyors.  Both the office and distribution center is climate controlled.
