Senior Digital Media Planner

Location: Boston, MA


Our Boston office is looking to add a Senior Digital Media Planner. This role will be responsible for not only leaning into strategic planning at the tactical level for digital, but also managing the day-to-day online media activities including the planning, buying, trafficking, and optimizing of the media plans. Please note, that this role will include multiple accounts, so strong time management skills and ability to balance multiple client workloads and deliverables will be key. Additionally, over time this individual will need to establish themselves within the company and with clients as experts in the field of digital media. Team members in this role are expected to work with the client team (media, account management and clients) to develop strategic digital media plans that deliver on the desired success metrics.


You will oversee planners and assistant planners. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Display a mastery of media fundamentals including experience and interest across digital channels including video, paid social, remarketing and display
  • Demonstrate ability to drive strategy, develop and execute plans against business objectives at all stages of media planning process
  • Function as campaign lead to manage day-to-day and ensure proper planning and execution of media plans
  • Work cross functionally with media, account, and analytics teams to develop strategic channel/media approach that will meet client objectives
  • Show a keen interest in and knowledge of emerging trends across the media landscape
  • Experience with pixels and tagging to be able to be involved with media implementation and maintenance (via DART, LiveRamp, Integral and other media systems)
  • Manage campaign and partner budgets in accordance with approved budget allocations and required weekly pacing targets
  • Work closely with client and media finance teams to ensure timely payment schedule is met and followed and partner with internal external teams for financial reconciliation
  • Develop weekly partner and campaign level insights and provide optimization recommendations for weekly client dashboard and performance reviews
  • Compile and coordinate research data and media/marketing information
  • Maintain appropriate and responsive working relationships with sales representatives and partners to identify potential opportunities, and also negotiate best ad rates and added value


  • Bachelor degree from a 4-year college
  • 3+ of digital media experience
  • Ability to understand client objectives and how they translate into media strategies
  • Knowledge and understanding of tools and resources such as DoubleClick, comScore, Compete, MRI, etc.
  • Understands various targeting options including those available via 3rd Party ad serving
  • Able to manage day-to-day program execution
  • Ability to use third party ad server to traffic media campaigns and pull reports
  • Programmatic buying experience preferred, but not required
  • Must have strong business writing, presentation, and client-service skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
