Associate Media Director (Digital)

Location: Boston, MA


The Boston office of MARC USA is looking for a Digital Associate Media Director.  This role is both a Leader and a Manager.  You will lead digital media strategy development, execution, analysis and process for all agency clients, while managing digital media investments and a high caliber digital media staff.  You will also play an active role in new business.  You will grow both personally and professionally as you lead digital media for a growing agency that brings the newest and smartest media solutions to our clients.


  • Plays a critical role on new business, either directly working on the pitch, assigning tasks and/or freeing up team to work on new business
  • Presents effectively at all levels and with diverse audiences including peers, senior leadership, consultants, new business prospects and clients
  • Ensures the integrity, quality and competitiveness of the online buying process for MARC USA
  • Provides orientation and training for online buying group by assessing needs, arranging for and/or participating in the training for the group
  • Participates in the development and execution of the online buying strategy by making the appropriate decisions for client business that are based upon accurate interpretation of media research and client priorities
  • Develops and maintains successful key client and vendor relationships
  • Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships between the planning and buying teams and with other disciplines within the agency
  • Establishes and ensures the group's adherence to best practices, including systems and procedures for timely and accurate processing of the work
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding for the client's business and associated media needs
  • Keeps group up to date on current and emerging online media trends, technologies, currencies and processes; and leads the adoption of new, alternative media buying options
  • Creates relevant, timely and compelling buy and post-buy presentations and industry overviews in tandem with the planning group
  • Leads online buying group by monitoring performance, addressing issues, setting priorities and manages the workload


 To excel in this position, applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree and the following:

  • 7 + years of media experience required
  • Working knowledge and proficiency of syndicated research tools and programs
  • Mastery of media concepts and media research tools; strong understanding of industry metrics
  • E-commerce campaign management experience preferred
  • Google certification a plus
