Our Automation Products Group at our Cambridge Division is currently looking for a bright, ambitious System Integrators who enjoy team work and on-going challenging projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Works as a key member in the final assembly/ disassembly and test of systems.

  • Selects, tests and integrates hardware and software components.

  • Identifies design and manufacturing problems and initiates controlled requests for changes or improvements.

  • Runs in-house and customer acceptance or verification tests.

  • Ensures that the system meets customer specifications.

  • Ensures system testing is performed with latest revolutionary software.

  • Commissions and installs project at customer sites if required.

  • Trains customer personnel on the operation and setup of machines if required.

  • Develops work instructions and generally supports the development of the “manufacturability” of systems.

  • Other tasks as assigned by Production Supervisor.

  • Adheres to all health and safety rules and procedures.

  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with ATS code of business conduct and the ATS Confidentiality Policy

  • Troubleshooting equipment/problems.

Education:

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in computer science, engineering, system design or control technology or equivalent.  

  • A Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Electrician or a Construction & Maintenance Electrician an asset.

Experience:

  • At least five years of experience in systems development and integration of factory automation projects. 

  • Thorough understanding of robotics, control systems and machine operation is required.

  • Good written and oral communication skills and an ability to work as a part of a multi-disciplinary project team are essential. 

  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is essential.

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following PLC programming languages - Delta Tau, Siemens, Allen- Bradley, Mitsubishi, B&R and or Beckoff.

  • Knowledge of computers and networks would be an asset.
