Our Global IT Shared Services team in our Corporate Cambridge division is currently looking for a bright, ambitious IT Training Specialist who enjoys team work and on-going challenging projects.

The IT Training Specialist will develop, maintain, and evaluate training activities for all areas of I.T. This role will lead and participate in training and development activities including conducting needs analysis, establishing training requirements, design and develop training material and resources, conducting training classes, and evaluating training programs. 




  • Deliver content and resources to a wide audience of employees enabling success in the assigned role

  • Train associates in multiple ATS locations to ensure that all policies and procedures are understood and followed

  • Evaluate and coach participant performance, then report to operations the results along with recommendations

  • Communicate and collaborate with all levels of leadership to ensure all internal requirements are met

  • Attend meetings to discuss and collaborate on training needs, quality, process changes and other solution building requirements to support the organizational learning requirements

  • Communicate with other departments to verify that the current interpretation of policies is correct and to verify that the information is received

  • Develop training materials (eg. exercises, presentations, demonstrations, simulations, assessments) for classroom and eLearning platforms based on needs analysis and business requirements

  • Answer any inquiries or respond to business needs as required

  • Assist with software testing when needed by Business Analysts

  • Participate in calibration meetings to support consistency in training and quality results

  • Prepare communications as required (Release notes)

  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.

  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures

  • Work with project teams to deliver solutions


Education & Certification

  • Three year college diploma/degree coupled with 1-3 years’ experience in a similar function along with a certification in adult education

  • Degree/diploma in mechanical, electrical, or other field of engineering an asset, but not required

  • Experience training some or all of the listed software: SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, ePLAN, Sharepoint, JDEdwards and PLM/PDM systems


    Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven experience in the design, development, and implementation of training programs and courses

  • Proven experience in delivering training courses in a variety of formats including in-person, remotely (eg. WebEx, Skype), and eLearning

  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business processes and data modeling

  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques

  • Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems

  • Experience with some or all of the following software applications: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PDM/PLM systems, ERP (JDE), Articulate 360 (including StoryLine), Camtasia, TTPS, SuccessFactors, and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the organization’s core business process and operations

  • Hands-on technical writing and editing experience, with specific experience in documenting information technology software and systems

Work Conditions

  • Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines

  • Occasional work-related travel

  • Sitting for extended periods of time

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard or mouse, and to handle other computer components

  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
