Job Overview

Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, the Campaign Coordinator, is responsible to meet or exceed regional revenue targets for the Alberta Residential campaigns by planning and executing timely fundraising efforts, engaging grassroots volunteers and accurate campaign donor tracking.

Based in Calgary, AB this is a primarily a fund development role and is best suited for a well-organized, detail oriented individual who is results driven with a proven ability to communicate and deliver the Association’s value proposition to a wide range of stakeholders including volunteers and contract employees.


About The Campaign Coordinator  Role

Some highlights of the role include:

  • The Campaign Coordinator is responsible to achieve or exceed annual campaign revenue targets by coordinating the planning and execution of year round door to door campaigns across the province.
  • Provide ongoing research to support and improve Diabetes Canada’s reach and donor base for all campaigns.
  • Grow the reach of the campaign across rural and urban markets in the province.
  • Track and engage appropriately with volunteers from each campaign and provide support and information to assist with the execution and success of each campaign.
  • Work with the campaign team to determine annual targets and timelines for all campaigns.
  • Work with campaign team and volunteers to administer all financial aspects of the campaign donations to ensure funds are processed in a timely manner.


About You

As the successful candidate for the Campaign Coordinator role you will have:

  • Experience in the administration of door to door fundraising, sales or recruitment efforts in either a non-profit or for profit environment.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience organizing, working with and motivating large volunteer teams.
  • Project coordination and administration experience would be an asset.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills and the ability to synthesize complex information into compelling and strategic material
  • Professionalism, judgement and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters are essential.
  • Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as required.
  • Open persuasive communication style and strong teamwork skills.
  • Sound technical, including experience with Microsoft Office software applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook) and donor databases.
