Venterra is searching for an Asset Manager who will work very closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the Director of Property Management. The individual will be strategically involved in a wide variety of activities including:
Maximizing performance of a growing 80,000-square foot retail portfolio and potentially working with the acquisition and operations teams to underwrite new retail opportunities in both mixed use and stand-alone sites.
Involvement with new apartment development opportunities to include increasing density at existing apartment communities and purchasing adjacent land.
Oversee management of 2 HOAs related to properties Venterra owns that were fractured condo projects at time of our acquisition. Additional responsibility to potentially include efforts to acquire additional condo units to increase our ownership % of the projects.
Assistance with certain aspects of multi-family operations including but not limited to:
Overseeing portfolio collection efforts, collection policies and related 3rd party collection vendors (background/credit check and collection agency).
Monitoring and driving continuous improvement of on-line resident payments and 3rd party on-line payment processing vendors.
Assistance in other new business development opportunities that arise, including our Car Wash division.

BA in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Exceptional analytical skillset including excellent excel skills.
Experience in multiple real estate classes with preference for multi-family, operations and new development experience.
Position located in Houston, but willing and able to travel when necessary. Travel is expected to be up to 50% at peak times.
