The Role

 

Resulting from our recent growth, Venterra is searching for a Project Manager that will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of specific projects.  Reporting directly to the Senior Engineering Manager in Houston, TX, this individual will provide consistency with Company strategy, commitments, and goals. This position requires working at Venterra’s Houston Corporate Office (Northwest Houston, 77040) and 35% travel.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects.  This includes capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Develop full scale project plans, manage project budgets, and oversee project resource allocation 
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Provide direction and support to the Project Team
  • Quality assurance
  • Implement and manager project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Facilitate project evaluations and assessment of results

Qualification

  • Position located in Houston, but willing and able to travel when necessary (35% travel)
  • BA, BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Design, Architecture, Real Estate or similar disciplines (advanced degree preferred).  Open to ones with special interest education or niche degrees (i.e., Alternative Energy)
  • Knowledge of project management techniques, tools, and software
  • Direct experience in project management capacity
  • Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management  
  • Innovative and full of new ideas that has some design experience
  • Experience with leading a team is highly preferred
