The Role

Venterra is searching for an Analytics Manager - SQL to help Venterra drive excellence in the reporting and data analytics area of our business. This role is focused on leading our Corporate Analytics team which utilizes SQL and other programming languages to develop custom data analysis and reporting. The Analytics Manger serves as the department lead and head liaison between Operations partners and internal Software Developers. The Analytics Manager assumes a leadership role for the following responsibilities:


  • Lead the Analytics & Reporting team with maintaining, distributing, and creating a robust suite of Business Intelligence reporting.
  • Actively participate in the definition, development, and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and various departments.
  • Develop a working understanding of business operations to translate business objectives into technical objectives.
  • Assume a project-lead role on a variety of data construction initiatives, projects, analysis, and programs.
  • Utilize complex analytics methods to extract, compile, assess and report on business data that allows Operations team members to make strategic decisions.
  • Place a high degree of importance on data validation, review, and error identification.
  • Develop SQL reports in MS EXCEL, Power BI, and various other mediums that address ongoing business needs.
  • Work closely with Software Developers and Database Administrators to deliver project scopes, explain business needs, review output, and communicate project completions.
  • Foster a successful working relationship with Software Developers and Database Administrators located in various countries.
  • Perform managerial duties for Business Analyst direct reports.


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years serving in a managerial role with experience in people and project management.
  • Proficient technical understanding with the ability to demonstrate moderate to advanced knowledge of SQL and MS Excel.
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling and mining with experience writing SQL code highly valued.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, professional excellence, and assertive follow-through.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with internal business partners and software developers. 
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a passion for attention to detail.
  • Proficient technical understanding with the ability to demonstrate moderate to advanced knowledge of SQL and MS Excel.
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling and mining with experience writing SQL code highly valued.
