Venterra is searching for a Revenue Management Analyst to help drive excellence in the Revenue Management functions of the business. Based at our Houston Corporate office, The Revenue Management Analyst is an important supporting function of “The Revenue Team” which manages Revenue and Operations activities for a $1.5 Billion Real Estate portfolio. The Revenue Management Analyst supports Revenue and Operations activities by providing robust financial analysis, detailed market research, and direct oversight of key audit and ancillary programs.
Utilizing an advanced Excel skill set, the Revenue Management Analyst is responsible for:
Creating, updating, and maintaining robust data models in Excel to support various functions of the business including revenue maximization, compliance monitoring, budgeting, and acquisitions.
Providing technical analysis for revenue initiatives including rent optimization programs, fee income strategies, and ancillary income channels.
Creating a data science approach for initial and ongoing unit renovation plan analysis and provide close collaboration with Senior Management on unit renovation strategy.
Performing detailed market research through a variety of data tools by extracting, modeling, and presenting market performance data in support of revenue, acquisitions, and operations initiatives.
Fulfilling a project-lead role on a variety of revenue related initiatives, projects, analysis, and programs.
Actively participate in the definition, development, and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and various departments.
Creating various macro level and micro level reporting.
Updating and maintaining revenue specific areas of investor reporting, tracking, and data development.
Learning Venterra’s complex unit pricing program and assisting with daily pricing review through the use of algorithm-based pricing models.
Participating in the development and delivery of revenue program training.
Supporting the daily efforts of the Revenue Pricing Manager and Director of Revenue Management.
Bachelor’s degree in a finance, accounting, or other business-related field.
1-3 years’ experience in an analyst type role with detailed analysis experience.
Proficient technical understanding with the ability to demonstrate moderate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel. There is a written and application-based Excel test in the interview process.
Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, professional excellence, and assertive follow-through.
Must be able to effectively communicate with Senior Management and internal business partners.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with a passion for attention to detail is a must.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced degree in a business-related field, MBA preferred.
Experience developing queries in SQL to extract data from a data warehouse.
Advanced MS Excel experience – Macros, VBA, advanced formula application.
Experience in Real Estate Investments, Multifamily Property Management, Asset Underwriting.
