About The Role

As a Project Electrical & Control Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a consultative service and overseeing the implementation of innovative automation and electrical engineering projects, ensuring the needs of the client are met within agreed timeframes.  This is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to develop and progress into a Senior Engineer.

What Will You Do?
  • Providing engineering design, tailored solutions incorporating an appropriate blend of innovation, experience and practicality
  • Ensuring project deliverables are met, produce clear unambiguous engineering outputs including specifications and scope of work incorporating measurable performance requirements
  • Project profitability with control of capital expenditure and contractor variations for their engineering disciplines(s)
  • Project completion, ensuring meeting programme dates agreed by them/their contractors
  • Ensure project compliance with legal requirements including CDM Regulations
  • Develop client relationships

Do you have?
  • Ideally degree educated in a relevant engineering discipline with chartered status, or working towards chartered status
  • Candidates with a HNC/HND and apprentice trained along with relevant experience will also be considered
  • A background within automation
  • Experience of PLC & SCADA design as well as system architecture/networks
  • Experience of HV/LV Distribution systems
  • Process commissioning
  • Engineering specification and tender documentation preparation
  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
  • Sub-Contractor management and co-ordination
  • Ideally, you will have experience from within the brewing/food/drink/pharmaceutical, effluent treatment, renewable technologies or energy efficient systems
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills required
  • Flexibility to travel internationally, as and when required
  • Driving Licence & car owner (essential)
  • A PLC programmer/Control Systems Engineer/System Integrator would not be considered for the role
