Job Title: Critical Care Transport Nurse
Title: Critical Care Transport – Registered Nurse
Department: Critical Care Transport – Field Operations
Hours/Shifts: Nurses will be scheduled for time on call and may be dispatched for calls any time within their scheduled shift.
Requirements: Registered Nurse Card, ACLS Card (Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification), Current CPR (Cardio- Pulmonary Resuscitation) Certification, Current California Drivers License, 2-4 years critical care experience (can be any combination of ER, ICU, or Cardiac Catheterization Lab)
Tasks: Critical Care Transport for geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients within the scope of practice for registered nurses. The scope of practice for the CCT-RN is based on nursing standards of practice. Additionally, all RN’s are required to follow all standing transport orders as well as orders by the transferring medical doctor (MD). The scope of practice includes, but is not limited to: patient assessment, coordination of care, proper and legal medical documentation, starting and maintaining IV’s, ACLS medications, code situations, vital signs and EKG interpretation, medication therapies listed in standing orders, ventilation therapy
