Intern, Accounting

Role Summary

The corporate finance intern will apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to support the accounting department and gain skills and experience that is necessary to prepare them for a successful career in accounting. This internship is a six month minimum commitment located in our Seattle, WA office. This internship will start in September 2018.


The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:

  • Assist with client billing requirements
  • Prepare general journal entries and reconciliations
  • Cash account research
  • Assist with auditor requests
  • Perform ad-hoc assignments and projects as requested
  • Perform client, vendor, and financial account analysis


The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:

  • Accounting major who is currently enrolled in school and pursuing an accounting degree.
  • Must be dependable and able to work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year.
  • Adaptable to ongoing change, including shifting priorities and accepting assignments from a variety of people.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented with an eye for quality.
  • Analytical, organized and a quick learner.
  • Proactive in seeking clarification regarding deliverables and timeframes.
  • Willing to ask for help when needed.
  • Eager to offer to help others when appropriate.
  • Possess a technical aptitude and have intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
