Financial Analysis and Planning Manager


With direction from senior level accounting and finance leadership, this role will work across all departments and business units to provide a wide range of financial and decision support to senior business leaders, including the preparation and maintenance of short- and long-term financial revenue and expense forecasts, evaluation of new corporate initiatives, and other ad hoc projects.


  1. Oversees preparation of revenue and expense budgets and forecasts, financial reporting (monthly/quarterly/annual) and analysis, and operational and management reporting.
  2. Analyzes the Company’s financial and operating results with respect to profits, trends, costs, compliance with budgets and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization
  3. Assists the Vice President of FP&A with monitoring the Company’s operational, financial, and strategic objectives, activities and commitments. Identifies sources of variability in the Company’s financial results, investigates and understands the causes, and implements data-driven forecasting and operational improvements.
  4. Partners with senior management to understand business economics and operating metrics.  Leads department variance analysis and discussions with business leaders on a regular basis.
  5. Develops and maintains sophisticated models that identify trends and key business drivers, and enhance the Company’s ability to predict future financial results.
  6. Collaborates with other departments to provide key financial analysis support. This includes assisting with financial evaluation and risk analysis and providing advice regarding new service products, investment proposals, and determining the appropriate pricing structures for new services.
  7. Participates in due diligence in connection with new business and corporate acquisition opportunities.
  8. Contributes to the preparation of board-level reporting packages and presentations.


  • Excellent technical knowledge of finance and accounting functional areas is required. Highly analytical with strong communication skills – the ideal candidate will have demonstrated a track record of superior financial modeling and using analysis to influence decision-making, including prior experience in a corporate finance and/or accounting
  • Self-starter who is highly team-oriented, inquisitive, and enjoys problem solving; strong work-ethic is a must
  • 5-7 years prior work experience with a proven track record of success; 2-3 years management experience
  • Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Incumbents should possess a very high level of quantitative analysis and strategic business analysis skills and be able to define problems, collect data, and analyze available information to make effective judgments, recommendations and/or decisions. Incumbents must be able to make high impact decisions and/or recommendations, even at times when insufficient information is available.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are required to perform the functions as described. Incumbents must have the ability to persuade and negotiate with others while projecting a professional image.
  • The ability to collaborate with, encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation across teams/departments is essential. Incumbents must also have the ability to initiate and direct comprehensive programs and initiatives as described


A thorough knowledge and understanding of finance and accounting as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting. A Master’s Degree in Business Administration is strongly preferred.
