POSITION TITLE

Manager, HR Operations

OVERVIEW AND REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

This role is responsible for planning, implementing and continuously improving Human Resources processes by collaborating closely across all HR and corporate functions across the organization (e.g. Payroll, IT, Finance and Accounting, etc.). This role has direct management over the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to recommend and implement continuous process improvements. In addition, this role is responsible for ensuring compliance with policies and procedures across the various operational processes that span HR.

OTHER REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

  • Establish an employee resource center as the main point of contact for employee questions related to HR
  • Identify, track, and manage issues, risks, and action-items across individuals and teams
  • Manage day to day escalations of employee requests and concerns
  • Lead special projects (i.e. M&A integration, business reorg)
  • Drive the employee support services program daily management and compliance in partnership with other HR teams, working collaboratively with cross-functional partners
  • Collaborate with other leaders to drive the employee experience, process, and technology improvements
  • Provide appropriate escalation, balance the business requirements versus technical constraints, and maximize the benefits from the programs
  • Work cross-functionally to develop project plans and manage projects against established goals and timelines
  • Ensure HR audit and control processes are developed and followed in compliance with local data privacy laws, US wage and hour laws, SOC II, and internal policies and procedures
  • Champion collaborative cross-functional relationships with Recruiting, Facilities, Payroll and hiring managers to ensure the successful onboarding and offboarding of new employees and contingent workers
  • Deliver and execute mobility program
  • Assess areas of opportunity, determine approach, compile and analyze data, and prepare recommendations to define HR operations strategies related to HRIS and processes
  • Work closely with HRIS to develop meaningful analytics and reports
  • Clearly communicate with high emotional intelligence

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A basic understanding of computer knowledge, as required for data entry, is required. Additionally, incumbents should possess a proficient understanding of computer programs and the inherent ability to work with a proprietary administrative system.
  • A general understanding and knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other basic office procedures and terminology is required. A basic understanding of computer knowledge, as required for data entry is required.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely and effective manner in a fast-paced environment.
  • Incumbents should possess good organization skills and have good attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of flexible spending account (FSA) benefits, health saving accounts, COBRA and commuter benefits is preferred.
  • Incumbents must be able to demonstrate ownership for issues pertaining to customer service questions, researching and providing solutions rather than escalating problems that can be resolved at the first point of contact.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills are required to interact positively with all levels of the organization and external contacts as described. The ability to remain customer service focused during situations in which customers may be notably frustrated.
  • Incumbents must have a very good attention for details and good organizational skills.
  • The ability to work extra hours as necessary during open enrollment periods and for special projects is required.

EDUCATION

Knowledge of Human Resources theories, practices and principles and the related regulatory environment as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or Organizational Development.
