Help Desk Support Tech   

Location:  Apple Valley, CA

Position Summary:

1Prospect Technologies, LLC is seeking a qualified Help Desk Support Tech who will provide technical support to all RMS users. The successful candidate will provide technical support to include data calls, phone calls, teleconferences, meetings, email correspondence; system generated correspondence and on-site visits. The Help Desk Support Tech will also provide technical support for all RMS functions including, but not limited to, data warehousing, information processing, network processing, report generation, file transfer, database usage, configuration, updates, training materials and other RMS system inquiries related to its function and operation.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the liaison to end-user community
  • Field and troubleshoot help desk calls 
  • Manage workloads, workflows, demand, and capacity management for all employees
  • Produce monthly status report and conduct senior level meeting/briefings
  • Interpret processes and procedures related to system supported and provide step-by-step guidance as needed
  • Troubleshoot and train end-users post software deployments
  • Develop technical documentation for operational sustainment
  • Ensure all disseminated new applications and tools have been tested and are free of malicious code (e.g. virus, worm, etc.) prior to being deployed.
  • Support testing and deploying non-production versions of the application or any relevant resources
  • Work with IT staff to configure an appropriate test environment on Government Property
  • Provide Tier I, Tier II, Tier III support

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in support of Help Desk supporting systems
  • One (1) to two (2) years support of the Federal Government contract
  • Experience with database environments including Oracle Databases
  • Must be able to obtain certifications per DoD 8570.1M for privileged level access
  • Experience in software releases and enhancements
  • Experience working in Construction environment
  • Experience with working Governance boards, and methodologies commonly governing DoD organizations.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Be fluent in the English Language as exemplified in their written and verbal skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of ITIL Incident Management
  • Knowledge of DoD audit readiness requirements and RMF
  • Knowledge in implementing computer systems in a phased approach of requirements analysis and conceptual design, site survey, system design review, critical design review, installation, integration, and testing.
  • Knowledge of lifecycle support, including maintenance, administration and management.
  • Capable of performing configuration management, integrating software, interpreting software test results, and recommending solutions in support of user community
  • Ability to provide technical support and assistance to all RMS users as requested

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Position may require moderate travel

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Some walking and standing required.
  • May have to lift and carry equipment (i.e. books, tools) weighing approximately 10-15 pounds.
  • Most of the work is performed inside.
  • Work in the occupation involves making repetitive motions more than 1/3 of the time.
  • Requires standing periodically.
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend.
