Financial Modeler (Official Job Title: Business Professional II): This is professional work performing financial, business and data analysis related to the organization’s human capital. Provides business analysis in support of informed business decisions and fiscally responsible outcomes. Provides employee financial modeling services and consultation to HR/Employee Relations, Financial Management, Payroll and other departments. Writes reports in support of management dashboards and to extract data needed for cost modeling. As member of Human Capital Management (HCM) system team, assists in developing and launching business processes related to compensation and future implementation of Performance, Talent and other modules. Develops end user training for new systems and tools. Responsible for the initiation, planning, execution and closure of assigned projects.
Financial & data analysis. Creates financial models and utilizes financial software for purpose of generating multi-year cost projections. Works with HR/Employee Relations and Financial Management to prepare financial support related to proposals. Provides expertise using data mining skills to answer data requests made by management as well as outside Public Records requests. Writes Workday reports to extract, manipulate and analyze data for decision making, budget and payroll implementation. Creates reports, dashboards, tools and financial models for purpose of aiding management or employees with informed decision making. Extracts and manipulates data in support of budget and payroll processes.
Provides operational support of HR compensation processes to ensure employees are paid appropriately through payroll maintenance integration. Perform periodic comparison of HR and Payroll data to ensure systems integrations are functioning properly. Creates Merit Planning costing and collection tool for managing annual non-bargaining merit process. Implements compensation changes in Workday. Assist in designing new performance and compensation processes within the Workday platform.

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Management or related field with two (2) years of experience with financial modeling, Financial, Business or Data analysis or closely related experience. Professional experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for required college degree. Advanced skill in using Microsoft Excel is a must as well as intermediate skill in XML, XSLT and reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications: Professional finance experience, including financial modeling with focus on employee costs is preferred. Tableau Software experience preferred. Past work in data mining and report writing a plus. Prefer a strong understanding of HR processes and data, including workflows, database design, structure, functions and processes. Experience with Workday HCM software helpful.
Job Competencies: Must have customer service skills, excellent documentation & organizational skills. Must have experience with query and data extraction tools including report writing experience. This position is required to have HIPAA certification prior to introduction to benefits data.
