Customer Service Representative I:This position is directly responsible for the oversight and processing of initial SCATPlus passenger applicants and proper filing of applications and department documentation. In doing so, ensures that all Federal, State, local and program regulations are adhered to and eligible passenger transportation needs are satisfied. This position is key to the SCAT organization that promotes outstanding customer service to the para-transit community.
Compile daily safety and accident data and assist with processing
Enters all new passenger applicant's information into the Trapeze scheduling computer system
Accurately file and purge passenger application files. Identify the passengers who will be requiring re-certification
Arrange passenger functional assessment appointments for the Mobility Coordinator
Compile track and record the resolution of customer concerns
Assist with documenting and follow up for Safety and Labor Management meetings
Maintain records of Para-transit usage
Fulfill requests for Public Records
Minimum Qualifications: A High School Diploma or its equivalent. One-year experience in clerical or public contact work and working knowledge of computer and hardware systems dealing with public response.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent telephone skills
Familiarity with State and Federal Grants
Strong background in Microsoft Office
Some knowledge about para-transit functions
Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
