Project Manager for the development of building facilities and parks capital projects. Project Management functions include, but are not limited to, project initiation and pre-design coordination, procurement and management of consultants employed to design and permit projects, liaison between “owner” departments and consultants, review design studies, plans, and specifications, assisting with preparation of permit applications, and review CIP budget information, procurement and management of construction services, coordination of occupancy and project close-out processes.
Subject to Passing CJIS Background Check: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment FBI Criminal Justice Information Systems background check and security clearance.
Minimum Qualifications:A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a highly related field with five (5) years of construction and/or project management experience. A Master’s Degree in one of the above-mentioned fields can substitute for one year of required experience. Related experience may substitute for the required degree. A valid Driver’s License is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Florida Registered Architect or Landscape Architect with 5 or more years’ experience in the master planning, design and construction of parks and/or coastal recreational facilities. PMP or progress towards PMP with intent to achieve certification within six (6) months highly desired. LEED AP or AP with specialty preferred.
