Fiscal Consultant I (2 Positions): This is professional work assisting the Operational Management staff with the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable Business Unit. Assigned to the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and performs in-depth reviews of assigned accounts receivable activities and serve as the subject matter expert for financial items relating to EMS.
Provides in-depth financial research and special projects on behalf of the following internal customers:
Emergency Medical Services
Performs complex technical accounting, financial statistical research ensuring compliance with Board Resolutions, Statutes, and Federal program requirements.
Prepares monthly financial and statistical reports and reconciles financial systems and reports.
Possess the ability to identify, interpret and implement changes as a result of new processes, legislative or regulatory requirements.
Assist/perform in other activities and interacts with internal and external auditors as required.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or other related field and a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience. A Master's Degree in related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Related professional experience or certifications may substitute for the required education.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Ability to interpret a variety of complex instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions
