1Prospect is seeking Joint Intermediate Target Development Course (JITD) Instructors to provide resident and mobile training team (MTT) JITD instruction to military, civilian and contractor students. Instructors will teach, develop and maintain Programs of Instruction (POIs) and lesson plans by incorporating lessons learned, doctrine, and current and evolving Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) into the POIs. Instructors will monitor, maintain and operate a digital classroom and computer network as part of the JITD POI, and develop simulated mission scenarios that support Joint Target Development, a component of the Joint Operational Fires and Effects Course (JOFEC).  Instructors will make recommendations to the schoolhouse concerning current developments for input to all applicable Army, Joint, and DOD related publications.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

Previous assignments with two (2) years’ experience joint targeting, fires, and effects.

Previous assignments with two (2) years’ experience in producing target materials:

  • Basic target development,

  • Intermediate target development,

  • Use of Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB) through the Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT) and National Production Workshop (NPW).

Previous assignments with two (2) years’ experience in the following areas:

  • Joint targeting,

  • Fires

  • Operations

  • Intelligence

  • Command and control.

Previous assignments with two (2) years’ experience in the steps and procedures of Army targeting methodology of:

  • Decide Detect Deliver Assess (D3A),

  • Joint targeting cycle,

  • Dynamic targeting cycle of Find, Fix, Track, Target, Engage, Assess (F2T2EA),

  • High Value Individual targeting cycle of Find, Fix, Finish, Exploit, Analyze, and Disseminate (F3EAD).

Two (2) years Combat Arms and Joint intelligence experience at the division or higher level.

Previous assignments with two (2) years’ experience in:

  • Collection management;

  • Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE);

  • Joint Task Force (JTF) intelligence support to targeting;

  • Sensor capabilities, limitations, and management.

 

Graduate of the Joint Intermediate Target Development Course (JITD) within the last 7 years and have experience with lethal and non-lethal target development OR be able to attend and graduate the JITD Course.

Graduate of, or able to attend:

  • Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC)

  • Basic Instructor Seminar: Replaces two – week CFDP-IC (Army Basic Instructor Qualification) with a three-day qualification seminar *

 

*  This requirement may be waived on an individual basis if CFDP - IC or other Service school equivalent certification within the past five (5) years  

OR

Waived if Total Army Instructor Training Course (TAITC) AND candidate has actively taught at a service school within the past five (5) years,

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to demonstrate the skill and ability to perform complex professional defense research and analysis tasks and develop innovative approaches and solutions

  • Ability to communicate effectively and to clearly present technical approaches and findings. Able to present instruction to senior officers, NCOs, and DoD civilians at resident and MTT locations

  • Able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance and a United States Passport

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Graduate of JPME I and II a plus

  • Qualified as JOFEC Instructor a plus

  • Graduate of Small Group Instructor Course (SGIC) preferred

  • Graduate of Systems Approach to Training Basic Course (SATBC), Training Development Capability (TDC) or equivalent preferred
