Healthcare Info Systems Training Specialist (HQ ACC, Langley AFB, VA)

Education:  B.S., B.A., or higher.  Nursing or other health professional degree, or computer information systems related, or healthcare administration.    

General Experience:

·        Five (5) years+ experience using and/or training of DoD Healthcare automated information systems and/or commercial electronic health records systems is required

·        Experience creating and documenting healthcare professional training requirements and curriculum, and/or producing online healthcare training products is highly desired 

·        Contractor employee must possess a minimum interim secret security clearance and is required to be able to obtain issuance of a Common Access Card (CAC)

Responsible to train functional users all of the DoD’s Theater Medical Information Program (TMIP) suite of applications which includes AHLTA-T, TC2, TMDS, MSAT, DCAM, JLV, and others, and also will train some aspects of system administrators’ tasks & responsibilities to maintain those systems.  Must maintain a high degree of proficiency of the functional aspects of the systems even as they are modernized periodically in order to provide current, relevant training to users and systems administrators.  Travel required approximately 16-24 times per year, typically 3-7 days per trip, to instruct health info systems classes and to support training exercises.  When not traveling member will be tasked to train local personnel, and to support HQ ACC staff to further enhance their training program by developing role-based curriculum, training materials, and support other related projects as needed.  May be required to support training events in a field environment (examples: uneven terrain, tent training facilities, harsh weather conditions, wet/muddy ground, potential to encounter wildlife, bugs, etc
