Instructional Designer- I

Ft. Sam Houston, TX 

1Prospect Technologies, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate to provide instructional system design services, provide instructional resident course support and DL courseware development, and multimedia development support services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use professional-level knowledge of principles, techniques and practices of instructional system development, adult learning theory, training research methodology, statistics, and technology to develop, review, and revise instructional material
  • Use the ADDIE model throughout the instructional design process
  • Use instructional systems to develop training objectives, lessons, units, courses, and programs
  • Design and develop test plans and assessment/measurement devices to determine student achievement of instructional objectives
  • Create or revise instructional materials and training aids for courses
  • Conduct studies, interpret survey data, and make change recommendations to curriculum for continuous process improvement of training programs
  • Implement Section 508 and SCORM requirements
  • Attend project meetings, as needed
  • Maintain communication logs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Draft meeting minutes for each face-to-face meeting attended OR to document lengthy telephone conversations
  • Assist in the development of project documentation, as needed
  • Review project charters
  • Perform a variety of analyses including need, gap, media, methodology, audience, GFI, content, task, job, assessment strategy, etc.
  • Write audience survey questions
  • Write GFI reports to include crosswalks
  • Provide input into the learning solutions report
  • Traceability matrices
  • Interface with customers to receive information
  • Create objectives and assessments that meet objectives
  • Work with SME to create, revise, and chunk content to achieve objectives
  • Created content documents
  • Create TDC Standards documents
  • Author lessons in approve format
  • Prepare and send media request sheets for DL products
  • Address deficiencies reported by reviewers
  • Assist in execution of evaluation plan
  • Observe training events
  • Document noted deficiencies
  • Participate in AAR
  • All duties/responsibilities listed in the performance work statement which is subject to change by the government customer

·        Other duties as assigned

Experience/Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Education, ISD, or training-related field OR 1-3 years proven work experience in training, teaching, or training product development

·        Be proficient with Microsoft Office suite and incorporated programs to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Access and be able to troubleshoot basic computer hardware and software required for services being provided

·        Read, write, and speak English fluently

·        Possess excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Proven experience developing products using a variety of development tools including Captivate and HTML5

·        Experience and understanding of project management tasks and reporting
