1Prospect Technologies (1P), LLC is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and creative professional for an immediate Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) position with the Learning Innovation Branch Onboard Fort Huachuca (REMOTE WORK NOT AVAILABLE). Candidate will work on an integrated team with other ISDs, subject matter experts, developers, graphic artists, and multimedia developers to design cutting edge training solutions supporting classroom and online learning environments.
The ISD will be expected to work within established project processes, collaborate with team members, and meet project deliverables by designing and presenting detailed storyboards, as well as effectively manage client relationships throughout the instructional design process.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Create detailed design documents (storyboards), which support all terminal and enabling learning objectives identified for each lesson, and which clearly and effectively communicate the instructional plan for each lesson to the customer.
Ensure the instructional integrity and educational effectiveness of all training materials produced.
Demonstrate understanding of adult learning principles, and how they best apply to each assigned lesson.
Apply proven eLearning engagement and motivation strategies, to include (but not limited to): case studies, simulations, practical exercises, and scenario-based knowledge checks, as applicable.
Design performance-based, measurable assessment items which directly align to the learning objectives.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and other team members in all phases of the ADDI-E process.
Adhere to accepted Style Guide practices and collaborates with Quality Assurance Specialists in all phases of the ADDI-E process.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required and as assigned by supervisor.
Firm understanding of the ADDIE system of design and evaluation.
Demonstrable experience in designing and storyboarding distance-based learning, and knowledge of the systems and tool sets that support online learning.
Experience in rapid eLearning authoring tools, such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Studio, Articulate Storyline, and/or other SCORM compliant authoring tools.
Skilled in designing web-based training (WBT) solutions.
Maintain current knowledge of eLearning industry and technologies.
Experience developing Section 508-compliant and SCORM 2004 conformant web-based solutions.
Experience in developing eLearning assets and lessons - sometimes in conjunction with Programmers/Graphic Artists. This includes graphics, animations, videos, simulations, assessments, interactive games and other learning tools using a wide range of technologies.
Knowledge of Learning Management System workflows, including beta/alpha/usability testing and eLearning distribution.
Experience using Blackboard is highly desirable.
Must be a U.S. citizen
Eligibility for government security clearance
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of two years’ experience in training development
Proficiency in additional eLearning authoring tools, such as Photoshop, Flash, etc is a plus
Technical knowledge of SCORM and AICC eLearning standards
Must understand Section 508 Compliance requirements
Ability to acquire and maintain a working knowledge of a wide range of applications and systems
Must have strong leadership abilities
Must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication abilities.
Must be able to work in a dynamic and flexible environment where priorities and deadlines may change.
Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
