Do you have three years of Human Resources Generalist experience and looking to grow your HR career? You will be supporting all facets of HR: Benefits, onboarding, recruiting, performance management, HR policy, HRIS, employment law, and employee records. You will directly impact the organization by working on key initiatives to achieve a culture of greatness, standardizing of HR processes, procedures, and documents, and strengthening the organizational structure.

You will be heavily involved in HRIS updates, Onboarding, recruiting, HR policy and HR communications.  The job is located in Anchorage, Alaska. As our ideal candidate, you will have a minimum of three years of experience in a true Human Resources Generalist capacity with experience in HRIS, Employee Onboarding, Employee Engagement, Recruitment, and HR Employee Records. Previous exposure to an HRIS system is required. (Examples: Taleo, Paylocity, Oracle, Kronos, Ceridian, ADP, etc.) You must be a go-getter that is proactive, hard-working, high energy, and motivated.

As a Human Resources (HR) Generalist your job duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Manage electronic onboarding system and set up files for all new and existing employees
  • Responsible for all Onboarding tasks and processing employment documentation
  • Maintains HRIS database to ensure proper protocol of employee files
  • Provide administrative support to HR team, including status change forms
  • Apply knowledge of various laws such as SCA, DBA, and FLSA.
  • Assist and coach managers with the performance management procedures.
  • Help to develop and maintain affirmative action and EEOC plans.
  • Create new employee communications and keep HR communications current.
  • Maintain HR compliance for state, federal, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Support and develop employee engagement activities to increase employee morale.

You Are the Perfect Person If You Have

  • Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred; a PHR or SPHR certification is highly preferred.
  • Must have three years of experience in human resources generalist functions: recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, training, performance management, HR policy, HRIS, employment law, and employee records.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired
  • Must be proficient with MS Office and HRIS (HR Connections preferred).
  • Must be self-directed and motivated to be able to execute with minimal direction.
