13R10 Fire Finder and Radar Systems Operator


Location:  Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE), 428th FA BDE

Fort Sill, OK


Summary:  1Prospect Technologies is seeking Instructors to support 13R AIT Instruction within the Field Artillery Campus.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Teach Field Artillery Firefinder Radar Operator Course. Teach operations on all Radar related equipment
  • Instruct and evaluate student’s tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) under field, simulated, and classroom conditions on all FDC system equipment to include the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Introduction to FA Radar Systems, Map Reading for Radar Operations, Operate an Aiming Circle,  Operate the Defense Advanced Global Positions System (GPS) Receiver (DAGR) Operate Mobile Electric Power Generator Sets, Perform AN/TPQ-36 Initialization, Perform AN/TPQ 36 Operations, Perform WLR AN/TPQ-36 Operations, Assemble an AN/TPQ 50 Radar System, Disassemble an AN/TPQ-50 Radar System, Operations of AN/TPQ 50 Radar System,  AN/TPQ-53 Emplacement/Displacement, AN/TPQ-53 Operations, Perform PMCS On WLR System Equipment. Computer System Digital: ANPYQ-10
  • Update the Program of Instruction (POI) and lesson plans as required by the 13R Lifecycle Program Manager. 
  • Maintain proficiency in Tactical and Operational procedures on all Fire Direction Center (FDC) systems
  • Instruct and evaluate student’s tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) under field, simulated, and classroom conditions on all FDC system equipment
  • Set up, operate, and instruct students on FDC operations utilizing actual FDC equipment
  • Drive Government vans, stake bed trucks, HMMWVs and FMTVs to transport students to the local training area on Fort Sill and thus must be able to meet military driver’s specification and qualification course requirements
  • Maintain instructor certification standards to include being formally evaluated quarterly.
  • Understand and apply the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP).


Experience and Basic Qualifications:       


  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience
  • (1) year of experience with the Army equipment within the 13R MOS to perform MOS related tasks.
  • Qualified on and demonstrate the proper employment and operation of the listed Army equipment and systems associated with the MOS:
    • Computer System Digital: ANPYQ-10
    • Computer Set Digital: AN/UYK-128
    • Get Set: DED Skid MTD 60KW-400HZ
    • Radio Sets, VRC 90, VRC 90F
    • Radar System: Counter Fire Target Acquisition Radar
    • Truck: 5 Ton
    • Encryption: Decryption Equipment: KOV-26




  • Must be able to physically lift 75 pounds and stand while instructing for long periods of time
  • Able to possess a secret clearance
  • Able to obtain a passport and able to travel
