Dump Truck Operator

7 DAYS ON / 7 DAYS OFF LIFESTYLE ROSTER

We are Australia’s largest privately owned mining, construction and maintenance services company, working across the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors. We are delivering an existing contract at our Whyalla operations in regional South Australia.  Our scope includes ore excavation, drill and blast, haulage operations, plant feed and train loading.

Due to recent growth in the project scope, BGC Contracting now have opportunities for Dump Truck Operators to join our South Australia Operations. Although experience is desired, we are open to training the right applicant for the position.

Reporting to our Mining Supervisor, our Dump Truck Operators will be responsible for operating our equipment in a safe and productive manner.

Working in this diverse environment, with a strong Team culture committed to safety, you will be responsible to:

  • Attend pre-shift meetings

  • Conduct operator pre-start check on equipment

  • Clean and maintain equipment to comply with company policy

  • Operate Dump trucks 90 - 150t Komatsu and Caterpillar Models.

  • Ensure equipment operated is in good working order and all defects are reported immediately

  • Operate equipment in a safe and respectful manner

  • Understand technical information about the equipment operated

  • Other duties as directed by your direct Supervisor
