Senior Project Manager – Mining
We are Australia’s largest privately owned mining, construction and maintenance services company, working across the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.
With proven and sustained success across a broad range of mining projects nationally, we have a role based in Whyalla, South Australia to oversee two existing mining contracts. Working under a collaborative model, we have recently secured new work and successfully mobilised and commenced operations at the Iron Baron mine site whilst continuing our existing operations at the South Middleback Ranges mine site.

This broad role will see you oversee our complete mining activities and work closely with our national mining senior leadership team. Reporting to our General Manager – Mining, your current direct reports are seasoned professionals who are capable, professional and experts in their field. Your key responsibilities:
Leading and supporting BGC working winning and business development activities to further grow our portfolio of mining operations
Support and provide input into tendering, planning and project estimates for new or future work
People management including recruitment, training, employee and industrial relations
Lead and manage overall project delivery including mining operations, resourcing planning, commercial and quality
Overall budgeting including forecasting and reporting
Provide safety leadership and ensure a high level of safety management across your project
What we’re looking for:
Experienced Senior Project Manager with a background in mining backed by relevant tertiary qualifications
Commitment and alignment to BGC’s core values and charter
