SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR – MACLEAN NSW
We are Australia’s largest privately owned mining, construction and maintenance services company, working across the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.
Due to BGC Contracting’s sustained growth; a new opportunity exists for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
Working on this exciting road project in NSW, reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of commercial and contractual issues both at a head contract level and for designated subcontracts.
This is a residential role based around Yamba or Maclean in the Clarence Valley – a popular coastal holiday destination. The successful candidate will live locally or be prepared to relocate to the area for the duration of the project.
The Contract valued at $100M, awarded by RMS, is for work on a 13 kilometre section of the highway between Tyndale and Maclean. It is part of a 155 kilometre highway upgrade jointly funded by the Australian and NSW governments.
BGC Contracting will provide bulk earthwork, some road and pavement construction as well as bridgework and finishing work, in addition to meeting environmental controls, community engagement and full quality assurance requirements of the contract.
What we’re looking for:
Degree in Quantity Surveying;
Previous experience in similar or related role on a civil construction project;
Previous experience with Project Cost control software and the interface with the ERP software;
Able to maintain a high level of attention to detail;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Enthusiastic self-starter with a thirst for knowledge;
High level of commitment to safety;
Must hold a valid Australian Driver’s Licence;
