BGC Contracting were awarded a $700M, five year contract to deliver mining and equipment maintenance services at Boggabri open-cut coal mine in NSW for our client Idemitsu. As a result, we are looking to support our project team and provide our next career opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Planner.
This residential role, reporting to Planning & Stores Superintendent, the Maintenance Planner will work Monday to Friday to ensure optimal availability of both mobile and fixed plant for the project.
Working in this diverse environment, with a One Shirt One Team culture and a strong commitment to safety and the community, you will be responsible for:
Implementing and controlling a service and repair program consistent with the company’s standard practices as determined by the Maintenance Planner in Osborne Park;
Implementing and controlling company service and repair program;
Scheduling and monitoring all aspects of service requirements of the plant;
Monitoring work order information to ensure maintenance system has clear accurate data for all histories;
Regulating and scheduling major repairs in consultation with Maintenance Superintendent;
Controlling warranty claims; and
Reporting and making recommendations on future planning and cost analysis.
What we’re looking for:
2+ year’s experience as a maintenance planner, with proven strong scheduling experience;
A mechanical trade certification or degree in appropriate discipline ;
Strong verbal and written communication skills; and
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel.
