Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Lynnwood, WA is seeking to hire a Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist who has experience in planning and executing Trade Shows.

Position Overview:

The Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for the planning and coordination for the many trade shows that Crane participates in each year.  Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, the Aerospace Group Marketing and Communications Specialist will research, plan and coordinate our participation in multiple trade shows throughout the year, prepare budgets for the year based on past shows and our current plans, reserve our space at the events, prepare RFPs for booth construction and coordinate with the selected vendors, work with the MarCom team to develop graphics for the booths, coordinate associated marketing material and collateral needs, travel to shows as needed to coordinate and supervise vendors.  You’ll be expected to perform a variety of complicated tasks with minimal direct supervision. A wide degree of leadership, creativity and latitude are expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Excellent ambassador skills with trade show partners and outside vendors
  • Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Maintain inventory of all trade show equipment,  product, and promotional items
  • Manage and order promotional items for trade shows and employee store
  • Work with IT for technical support in US, Europe, and Asia
  • Able to troubleshoot on complex projects
  • Seek creative ways to engage customers, either by promotional items or booth activities
  • Maintain trade show calendars and promote events online
  • Able to travel as required
  • Finalize show dates and arrangements with hotels and ground transportation for participants
  • Work with catering when applicable
  • Prepare media kits
  • Understanding of how to coordinate photo opportunities and video as needed
  • Analyze the performance of each show and send timely data to participants
  • Able work as a team player with the marketing communications group, understanding each person’s strengths and forming strong working dynamics
  • Creative, energetic and willing to go the extra mile

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of experience in a marketing or related role

Knowledge:

  • Proficient in English/Journalism including meticulous attention to grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Understanding of Strategic Communications Planning principles
  • Strong knowledge of B2B marketing and content management

Skills & Abilities:

  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Strong teamwork and inter-personal skills.
  • Demonstrated success in working within cross functional teams and effective project management and analytical/decision-making skills
  • Ability to present information clearly in written form
  • Expert in translating technical features into benefits
  • Aptitude to learn and understand computer applications used in communications such as SharePoint

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field)

Eligibility Requirement:

  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and not require Visa sponsorship to be eligible. We are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as a US Department of Defense contractor.
