Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. Our product line includes custom, semi-custom and off-the-shelf power converters and custom miniature (hybrid) electronics circuits for applications across various markets including commercial, space and military aerospace and fiber optics. We have been designing and building DC/DC converters, EMI filters, and special products since 1969.

We have a unique opportunity for a  Staff Accountant II, In this role you will provide support to all areas of assigned responsibility within the Finance team. You will be involved with business transactions and decisions. And you will interact with a diverse group of business people within accounting, marketing, and operations.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage efforts to ensure that financial accounting and reporting activities are being performed accurately and efficiently in accordance with GAAP and SOX
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare journal entries, financial reports , and supporting schedules
  • Calculate tax computations and prepare returns
  • Ensure appropriate recording and tracking of fixed assets including cycle counting and property tax filing
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of both internal and external audit processes
  • Provide service and support to a wide variety of internal and external customers
  • Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactional functions as necessary

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in similar position
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Experience with US GAAP and SOX requirements
  • ERP experience; Oracle EBS preferred
  • Intermediate to expert level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in an organized team
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
