Primary Function:

The Marketing Communications Coordinator acts as a primary liaison between the sales and product management teams, the CPI leadership team, and our customers. At CPI, the communications team is essential to the effective deployment of new product launches, media strategies, sales support tools and daily marketing activities.

Working in cooperation with the global marketing communications team, which consists of both channel-centric and functional roles, the Marketing Communications Coordinator designs and implements campaigns that elevate the CPI brand to increase awareness and engagement.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

Strategic Development

  • Partner with business and channel leaders to understand their market landscape, trends and strategic objectives on an annual basis
  • Establish the communications calendar and support creation of annual budget
  • Conceive creative and engaging ways to deliver the message and support the sales teams
  • Manage plan budget to actual spend for assigned areas.

 

Trade/Event Coordination:

  • Lead, manage, and participate in trade show planning, coordination and execution across multiple geographies in close cooperation with the business teams and Manager of Marketing Communications.
  • Manage the positioning of CPI offerings through public relations programs, publications and editorial participation in assigned area.
  • Utilize social/digital media to drive awareness and messaging to external target audiences.
  • Measure and track metrics for events, promotions and trade spending

 

Sales and Product Management Support:

  • Deliver tools, collateral, presentations that support sales, product management and the business to drive demand for CPI products.
  • Participate in and own communication, collateral, tool and promotion deliverables for new product launches across global regions with Product Management.
  • Generate collateral and material in support of the strategic planning process.

 

Qualifications and Required Skills

 

  • Degree – BS or BA degree required
  • Must have 1-5 years as marketing communication coordinator with experience in…
    • Trade event planning and execution
    • Creative marketing communications campaign management
    • Sales tools and collateral development.
    • Accountability for managing to budgets
    • Software and design skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Customer Relationship Management Tools (SendGrid preferred) or similar
    • Ability to travel up to 30%; domestic and international
