We are seeking experienced Support Systems Mechanic for our First Quality Retail Services company located in King of Prussia, PA.  This position will take personal responsibility to prevent accidents and injuries by observing established working rules, follow the directions of supervisors, practice the principles taught in safety training and provide ideas to further strengthen our program.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

 

  • Adheres to all Safe Work Practices (SWP) and organizational policies and procedures. Must abide by all safety requirements and attain safety goals.

  • Determines by regular inspection if each system is operating properly, achieves and maintains most efficient system performance.

  • Repairs and reports all mechanical problems on daily sheets and records on Maintenance/PM sheets.

  • Troubleshoots mechanical and identifies electrical issues.

  • Reports problems that can’t be solved immediately to the Lead Mechanic or Maintenance Manager.

  • Interfaces with Line Mechanics/Operators to determine performance of support systems.

  • Prioritizes all repairs, replacements and overhauls following acceptable trade practices.

  • Keep all mechanical components of machines in clean and good working order.

  • Checks for spare parts and keeps parts room informed of usage.

  • Understand and comply with OSHA safety regulations and safety devices including lock out tag out policy.Ensure all guards are in place and working properly after preventative maintenance.

  • Support and coordinate with all function within the department on a daily basis.

  • Ability to run shop equipment and follow safety rules.

  • Reports all safety hazards to maintenance manager. Become familiar with MSDS sheets.

  • Special projects as assigned by maintenance manager.Projects to be completed in a safe and timely manner.

  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of Maintenance Manager, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

     

 

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED/equivalent required.

  • Must be familiar with sheet metal work.

  • Must be able to speak, read and write the English language and perform basic mathematical skills. Must be able to pass minimum required standard on all competency tests.
