We are seeking an experienced Lead Controls (Electrical) Technician for our First Quality Retail Services located in King of Prussia, PA. This position will be responsible for taking personal responsibility to prevent accidents and injuries by observing established working rules, follow the directions of supervisors, practice the principles taught in safety training and provide ideas to further strengthen our program. Responsible for working in a safe manner to lead control technicians in troubleshooting and repairing all electrical/electronic systems on production equipment with minimum downtime.
Primary responsibilities include:
Adheres to all Safe Work Practices (SWP) and organizational policies and procedures. Must abide by all safety requirements and attain safety goals
Directs the assignments of Control Technicians on shift to troubleshoot and repair production machinery.
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
Acts as the point of contact on shift to resolve electrical issues and assign available resources.
Keeps the electrical staff informed of any unresolved issues and requests additional resources as necessary.
Uses test equipment such as meters, oscilloscopes, computers, etc., to determine the causes of electrical/electronic failures.
Replaces faulty components as necessary to repair the production equipment.
Modifies documentation as necessary to reflect changes made to machinery whether temporary or permanent.
Follows Parts Room procedures to ensure that parts used are properly reported. Notifies Parts Room of any parts that need to be stocked.
Works from drawings, sketches and verbal instructions.
Performs preventative maintenance.
Provides insight and information regarding job performance for electricians to Group Leader.
Responsible to train others regarding equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Conducts daily inspections of production equipment for electrical safety and correct operation.
Recommends improvements and upgrades to improve equipment operation.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Must be experienced with PLC’s and servo systems.
Must be familiar with AC and DC motors, controls, and electrical devices.
Must be able to use necessary test equipment.
Must have tools necessary to perform tasks associated with the position.
Must be a self-starter with the able to work with minimum of supervision.
Must have good interpersonal and leadership skills to interface with all departments.
Associate Degree in Industrial Electricity/Industrial Electronics; or an Associate Degree Equivalent such as military training or trade school.
Must have five (5) years’ experience in industrial machine repair.
Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language and perform basic mathematical skills.
Must be able to pass written, practical and technical aptitude tests.
Available to work a flexible schedule including overtime and/or weekends
