Job Title:  Process Engineering CO-OP


Mentor:  Process Engineering Manager


Areas Covered:    The role of a Process Engineer Co-op is to own the completion of process engineering tasks for the Process Engineering group and to assist other departments as the need arises. These will include: develop and maintain process settings, data analysis to target waste reduction and improve efficiencies, supporting cost saving initiatives, technical writing of work instructions, and hands-on troubleshooting efforts, all while ensuring compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements. The Process Engineer Co-op will have opportunities to assist the continuous improvement engineer in design work on AutoCAD. The candidate will offer support in troubleshooting mechanical, process, and material related issues on the production floor. Position regularly interfaces between manufacturing, R&D, quality, and marketing on new materials and manufacturing plants converting capabilities


Experience / Skills:   The ideal candidate for this internship will have the following:

  • Pursuing a degree related to Engineering or Arts & Sciences

  • Mechanical aptitude for hands on problem solving

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Understanding of project management and solution planning concepts

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A proven aptitude for learning new software applications

  • Strong presentation skills a plus

  • Professional demeanor required for working directly with users at all levels of management

  • New Asset management and implementation

  • Technical documentation writing

  • New design validation efforts

  • New cost saving trials



  • The Process Engineering team is seeking a candidate to fill an internship role supporting all aspects of the process engineering role.  This internship is well aligned for a candidate with an interest in pursuing a career involving a blend of hands on work with data analysis.

  • Develop problem solving skills for both mechanical and process related issues

  • Learn effective communication skills in a fast paced environment
