Gopher Sport, a leader in innovative solutions to help young and old become more active and healthy, is adding Entry-Level Inbound Sales Representatives to our Team!   Inbound Sales Representatives are responsible for handling all inbound order and product inquiry calls, and making outbound calls to close quotes and generate sales. 
As a Sales Representative, you will be our "face" and "voice" to our institutional customers all around the world.  Our customers look to our sales representatives to help them find the best products for their physical education, early childhood, fitness or school activity programs.  You will be extensively trained on our products in order to guide our customers to the best possible solution for their unique situations.

Successful candidates will have the following:
  • 4-year degree in business administration, education or related field from an accredited university/college.
  • A lifestyle or educational background that is aligned with the company’s mission statement to “Increase the happiness, confidence and self-esteem of young and old by helping them lead more active and healthy lives."
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and a Windows Operating System. Salesforce.com and Oracle experience preferred but not required.

This position is located in our state-of-the-art facility in Owatonna, MN (approximately 45 miles south of the Twin Cities Metro area). 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing all inbound phone, quote, and product questions and email requests for quotes.  Responsible for outbound calls to generate sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES: The duties and responsibilities listed below serve as a general outline.  Other duties may be assigned or required to support the success of Gopher Sport.

  1. Manage customer order and quote calls according to defined quality expectations to achieve sales targets (Metric: Monthly call quality assurance scores at or above expectations)
    1. Maximize availability on phones to handle inbound order, quotes, and product questions
    2. Utilize defined best practices to ensure required percentage of all inbound order, quote, and product question calls are answered by Sales Representatives
  2. Achieve annual average order value goal.  (Metric: Monthly average order value, according to defined standard)
    1. Complete product training and expand market knowledge of business units as assigned
    2. Consistently utilize defined sales process in customer interactions
    3. Achieve annual corporate sales goals
  3. Achieve annual average quote value goal.  (Metric: Monthly average quote value, according to defined standard)

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. 4-year degree in business administration, education or related field from an accredited university/college, preferred; and/or significant work experience
  2. A lifestyle or educational background that is aligned with the company’s mission statement to “Increase the happiness, confidence and self-esteem of young and old by helping them lead more active and healthy lives.”
  3. Salesforce.com and Oracle experience, preferred but not required.
  4. Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and a Windows Operating System.

This job is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to the distribution center.  The noise level in the office and distribution center is generally moderate.  In the distribution center, the team member would generally be exposed to automated equipment and conveyors.  Both the office and distribution center is climate controlled.
