JOB SUMMARY:

Participate in Product Marketing activities and projects to achieve operational excellence, profitability and enhanced customer satisfaction. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities listed below serve as a general outline.  Other duties may be assigned or required to support the success of Gopher Sport.

  1. Various product specific or product marketing projects as assigned to support meeting Marketing, Merchandising and Creative production deadlines and producing the highest quality catalog in our industry
  2. Contacting existing suppliers to obtain answers to specified questions to guarantee content accuracy of our catalog and identify new product opportunities
  3. Assist with catalog and web production initiatives throughout the product launch process
  4. Participate in all Gopher product launch meetings to gain greater understanding of the Gopher business and the Marketing, Merchandising, and Creative processes
  5. Assist the Product Marketing team with the day-to-day management of products/categories

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. In pursuit of a Bachelors degree in Marketing/Merchandising or similar field
  2. Keen interest, curiosity or involvement with Gopher Sport products
  3. Proficient in Microsoft word, excel & power point

While performing the functions of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.  The team member is occasionally required to kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, ascend and descend stairs.  The team member is frequently required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.  The functions of the job include continuous viewing of a computer monitor and repetitive motion activities on the keyboard.  Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.  The team member may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

This job is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to the distribution center.  The noise level in the office and distribution center is generally moderate.  In the distribution center, the team member would generally be exposed to automated equipment and conveyors.  Both the office and distribution center is climate controlled.
