Gopher Sport is currently seeking an Assistant Product Developer.  This exciting position will contribute to the growth in sales, gross margin, customer satisfaction and brand equity by increasing the portfolio of Gopher branded products. The ideal candidate will be a smart, have great attention to detail, and a demonstrated competitive drive that results in breakthrough improvements and ideas.  This person will work independently and cross-functionally with departments to accomplish the corporate goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and launch Only From Gopher and Gopher branded products for the assigned
  • Ensure all product and project deadlines are met or exceeded as defined by the Product Development Process 
  •  Consistently and proactively improve Only From Gopher and Gopher branded products through Product Lifecycle Management
  • Develop certain number of Gopher branded products by performing internal merchandise analysis, analyzing the market and competitor’s assortment of new products.
  • Ensure all catalog deadlines are met or exceeded by managing stages and timeline in the product development process.
  • Determine requirements that meet standards for performance, appearance, design, functionality, quality and collateral.
  • Find existing product that meets product requirements or work with supplier on iterative version of product.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college
  •  Minimum 1 year success and experience in product development, merchandising or project management
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and Windows Operating System
