POSITION PURPOSE

We are seeking an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills to join our Energy Products and Services department. This individual will provide program administration, data analysis, and customer research to support Madison Gas and Electric's (MGE) new products and services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Administration

  • Manage enrollment, participation, and withdrawal from MGE programs.
  • Work directly with MGE residential customers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries about programs and technologies.
  • Capture, display, and report on upcoming program activities to assist with planning across the Company.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and tracking customer events.

Data Analysis

  • Gather data, perform analysis, and complete program reports, PSCW data requests, and other non-routine reports as requested.
  • Assist with evaluating pilot programs and demonstrations by drafting surveys and summarizing findings.

Customer Research

  • Provide overview briefings on emerging technologies, market players, and customer segments.
  • Update market trends and technology adoption trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, analytics, market research, or related field or equivalent experience
  • At least one year of experience conducting market research, performing marketing data analysis, or administering marketing programs.
  • Experience working with utilities or energy policy preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-directed and able to work independently.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Familiar with using and applying analytic technologies and techniques such as online analytical processing, data warehousing, business scorecards, performance dashboards, and data mining.
  • Experience using statistical tools like R, SAS, SPSS, or Tableau preferred.
  • Experience using Excel pivot tables, formulas, formatting, charts, and importing/exporting data.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Some experience or knowledge using data management tools such as Microsoft Access and SQL.
