Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Utilize a software based solution to create a daily delivery schematic that ensures high levels of customer satisfaction and proper utilization of the company resources.  
  • Daily maintenance of the routing software database to ensure key elements are current and accurate at all times.
  • Frequent communication with sales and operations management to ensure customer service and operational goals are being achieved.
  • Performs administrative tasks containing, but not limited to, printing invoices, running reports, preparing delivery documents, voice mails, email communication and special request information.  
  • Process driver feedback regarding the daily routes to continually improve the routing and delivery performance.  
  • Make daily decisions on delivery routes to ensure that proper service levels are being achieved, for both customer satisfaction and operational metrics.
  • May perform various other duties, as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three months related experience, preferably one year transportation experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience with Roadnet routing software preferred.

Language Skills: Ability to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, & procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports & correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures & amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, & volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra & geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems & deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.).  Should be able to learn and utilize order processing systems and internet software such as GreenMile and Geotab.  Experience using and maintaining Roadnet routing software preferred.

Other Requirements: Ability to work overtime as needed.
