USANA Health Sciences is seeking an innovative and self-driven leader to join our quality engineering team in IT (ITQE) as a software quality engineering manager. In this position, you will lead the quality engineering efforts in an Agile environment with a focus on efficient operation of daily activities, individual productivity, and continuous improvement.

In this experienced manager position, you will work directly with the Director of Quality, and a team of both manual and automation test engineers to implement and improve QE and delivery best practices across multiple projects and systems. You will collaborate with cross functional leadership to continually assess and improve testing standards, processes and output over time. Your expert knowledge and experience in the execution of quality disciplines and testing process while creating and maintaining a culture of quality and continuous improvement will be important keys to your success.

Additional Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to successfully implement a continuous testing and continuous delivery program in USANA’s enterprise environment
  • Work with QE Leadership to define and track quality KPIs and metrics over time in support of data driven activity
  • Oversee the day-to-day initiatives of the teams and assist in removing obstacles that prevent QE commitments from being met
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentoring and professional development to team members on standardized processes and testing industry best practices.
  • Work side by side with QE automation leadership to Identify opportunities for increased testing efficiency and effectiveness

 

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience managing QA, build & release, and/or software development teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to understand and convey complex product requirements or technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of front-line triage to customer support, development, and data processing issues and resolution
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DevOps best practices and principles, and proven experience implementing these practices in an enterprise environment.
  • Oversee QA automation framework design and implementation
  • Experience with multi-region, high availability enterprise web applications
  • A strong background in agile practices and hands on experience in transforming QE practices to Agile
