Title Position Reports To: Assistant Dean
Support the implementation of the clinical education component of the undergraduate, graduate, professional development and post-master’s curricula in the College of Nursing. Responsibilities include: securing clinical placement for students, informing faculty about clinical agency requirements for student placement and following up with clinical agencies. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and collecting all accreditation data, entering information and maintaining the Taskstream data base. This position also maintains the web site and the accuracy and timeliness of information. Position is responsible for maintaining outstanding relationships with clinical partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Assure that clinical placements required for all academic semesters are secured and confirmed. In collaboration with Deans and Chairs seek new clinical placement sites.
Communicate, in writing, with clinical placement sites, confirming placements (dates, units/sites) and informing agency of assigned faculty and students, for undergraduate and graduate placements.
Maintain accurate files and records of all placement activity.
Secure clinical placements with community and clinical agencies external to the Coordinating Council while coordinating placements with the director for the coordinating council;.
Assist with the semi-annual Clinical Placement Seminar for graduate students, in consultation with the Directors of the Graduate Program.
Present the annual Clinical Placement Seminar for undergraduate senior internship students. Assist faculty as requested.
Collect and maintain files for required preceptor documents for undergraduate and graduate students.
Serve as liaison with all clinical agencies. Maintain positive working relationships.
Maintains the Taskstream data base for all accreditation information and whatever other information deemed necessary to be held there
Maintains the schools web site and coordinates/updates all information with the IT dept.
Work with program secretaries to disseminate information.
Maintain and update all clinical agency contracts.
Assist with student health clearances.
Perform other job duties as assigned.

Ability to be organized and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize workload according to volume, urgency, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Goggle docs and ability to acquire working knowledge of Typhon graduate student tracking system.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (If any):
Baccalaureate degree in related field required.
Current New York State Registered Nurse license preferred.
MBA or related Master’s degree preferred.
POSITION(S) SUPERVISED: Clerical position.
