We are searching for a Service Coordinator to assist our families at our 275-unit, Section 8 Windsor Park community.

Position Overview

Responsible for assuring that residents are linked to the specific supportive services and resources they need to continue living independently, achieve the goal of retaining occupancy, and contributing to the residents’ self-sufficiency.

Essential Job Functions – The individual must be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Provide case management, to include intakes, referral services, evaluation of health, psychological and social needs, development of individually tailored case plan for services and periodic re-assessment of the resident’s situation when services are not available through the general community.

  • Manage the operating budget to control expenses.

  • Establish links with agencies and service providers in the community.

  • Educate residents on available services, application procedures, client rights, etc, providing advocacy as necessary.Refer residents to the appropriate agency.

  • Develop and monitor a directory of providers for use by property staff and residents.

  • Develop and monitor ongoing provision of services from community agencies and update case management and provider agency with the progress of the resident.

  • Complete, review, and submit reports on a timely basis.

  • Provide program support by organizing support programs with community organizations, assisting residents in building an informal support network, coordinating and / or providing training to residents in the obligations of tenancy

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive resident services, education, and life enrichment program.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of resident activities and events.


  • Bachelor of Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, or Counseling; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in social service delivery .

  • Experience with PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.

  • Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve and provide results for the population(s) served.

  • Able to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends.

  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License in the state of residence.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

  • Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
