A Supervisor is recognized as the leader of his/her department.  A supervisor represents management and the company. It is the supervisor’s job to organize his/her department’s day-to-day activities, energize the employees to get their tasks done and monitor their work, ensuring that productivity and quality standards are met in a safe and harassment-free environment.

1.Quantity of Work Output
Responsible for the planning, scheduling and coordination of the workload, including the following activities:
a.Planning – Ensures resources will be available when needed.
b.Scheduling – Assigns work schedules, establishes progress and communicates any deviations
c.Coordinating – Distributes workload, establishes priorities and is responsible for day-to-day activities of the assigned work.

2.Quality of Work Output
Responsible to ensure quality of the work meets the minimum standards of the organization. Maintains a general awareness amongst the staff of the quality standards and promotes the importance of quality.

3.Personnel – Labour Management
Responsible for overall supervision, accountability and direction of all direct reports.  Includes the following activities:
1.Selection & Hiring
2.Orientation & Training
3.Supervision and Attendance Management
4.Performance Reviews
5.Labour Relations

4.Productivity – Cost Control & Efficiency
Supervisor is responsible to maximize the level of output of his/her department by ensuring operating costs of the department are minimized through a lean manufacturing environment.

5.Compliance with Labour Codes & Company Policies
The supervisor has the legal responsibility to ensure that his/her area of responsibility is free of safety violations, that all employees receive proper training and that all human rights are upheld. Supervisors are responsible for the health and safety of their direct reports and for ensuring they all work in a harassment-free environment.

-High School & Technical School
-Knowledge of aviation paint processes and materials. Paint facility management. Good understanding of the Canadian Air Regulations
-5 years experience in the aviation industry
-Basic computer skills
-Good Communicator
-Organizational Skills
